Thank you for your interest in adopting! Please complete each of the following questions thoroughly. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Adopters must be at least 18 years old and never have been convicted of any form of abuse. We will need to see a valid ID for a background check. We will verify that you can have pets where you live. Must reside within 200 miles of the cafe. Application can take up to 10 days to process. Applying does not guarantee you will be approved. Applicants are reviewed by our team, our partners & a third party. Those that appear to be the best match will move onto the interview process. You will be notified via email of the decision.

Cats that come from shelters, rescues, and group environments can be exposed to illness despite all the precautions we take. A cat can seem healthy at the time of adoption then develop symptoms a few days after getting home due to exposure and the stress of change. It is important to keep the new cat separate from the current cats to prevent spread of a possible illness that hasn’t shown symptoms yet. I understand that if I am approved for this adoption, I acknowledge that it may take months for the animal to fully acclimate into the home. I understand that Coastal Cat Cafe cannot directly intake and if I plan to return the cat to Coastal Cat Cafe I will keep the cat until we can arrange for removal with the corresponding partner. This may not be immediate.

I UNDERSTAND THAT BY FILLING OUT THIS FORM, I AM AGREEING TO ANY SCREENING PROCESSES THAT WILL NEED TO BE PERFORMED BY COASTAL CAT LLC STAFF IN ORDER TO COMPLETE AND FINALIZE AN ADOPTION AND AM SUBJECT TO DENIAL PENDING ANY FINDINGS THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED UNTRUTHFUL OR MAKE ME UNQUALIFIED FOR A PARTICULAR ANIMAL. I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS APPLICATION CAREFULLY AND THE ANSWERS I HAVE GIVEN ARE COMPLETE, TRUE AND NOT MISLEADING IN ANY WAY. I AM ALSO AWARE THAT RESCUES, SHELTERS, & COASTAL CAT CAFE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE HEALTH OR TEMPERAMENT OF ANY ANIMAL. I UNDERSTAND THAT AFTER ADOPTION, I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING ALL VETERINARY CARE FOR MY PET.
