Adoption Process
Thank you so much for considering one of our sweet kitties! Please read fully before applying.
Here’s a quick guide to our adoption process:
• The process may take up to 10 days
• Adopters must live within 200 miles
• Kittens under 6 months are prioritized to go home with a sibling or another playful cat
• We aren’t able to share pending application status
• Cats already adopted will be marked on their bio page
With the help of our rescue partners, we select the applicant who is the best fit for each kitty.
Applying for a kitty does not guarantee approval.
How to Apply:
Applications are completed in person only at Coastal Cat Cafe. They are reviewed by Coastal Cat Cafe and our rescue partners.
There is a $10 non-refundable processing fee, which helps support the time and care that goes into reviewing applications. This fee does not guarantee approval.
If your application is a strong match, we’ll reach out to schedule a short interview. If you’re not selected, you’ll receive an email update.
If approved, your application can be transferred to another kitty at no extra fee.
Additional Notes:
✔ Current pets must be up to date on vaccines
✔ Landlord approval (if renting)
✔ Veterinary care must be verifiable
All cats are: spayed/neutered • vaccinated • microchipped • treated for fleas & parasites (FIV/FeLV testing is not routinely performed & may vary based of rescue partner & veterinary guidance)

Apply to Adopt
When you’re ready, a team member will help you complete an in-person adoption application at the café. There is a $10 non-refundable processing fee to submit an application. Our team and rescue partners carefully review each application to determine the best match for every cat.

Interview
If your application appears to be a great match, our team will contact you to schedule a brief adoption interview.
Once interviews are complete, the approved adopter will be notified.

We do not do same day adoptions.

Our
adoption fee:
$150 per cat or kitten
$100 seniors (10 years +)
Bonded pairs are BOGO
All cats and kittens come spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated with flea prevention and dewormer.. To ensure that the adopter and cat are well matched, the adoption process can take up to 10 days.
